Thanks to Westfield Wheaton, there is an art gallery in Wheaton, exhibiting and selling original artwork by more than 20 local artists. The Wheaton Arts Parade Gallery is on the lower level of the Westfield Wheaton shopping center at Entrance 11. Ninety percent of all sales revenue go directly to our artists. In exchange, they volunteer to manage the gallery. We hope you will stop by and see our diverse collection and meet the amazing artists in our midst.
Our mission is to showcase artists from Montgomery County, MD and Wheaton's potential as an arts destination. The gallery is part of a year-long effort to rally artists and residents to celebrate art and our community at the annual Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival that takes place each September. Wheaton Arts Parade is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. WAP activities are supported by grants from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, the Maryland State Arts Council, our local businesses, local arts organizations, and our county government.
At the moment, concerns about COVID-19 may prevent you from visiting our gallery at Westfield Wheaton Mall, so we are bringing the art to you online. Now you can support our local artists by purchasing some of their original art for your home or business.
August-September Show - "Parade Your Passion"
It has been an unprecedented time, filled with uncertainty. Now, more than ever, WAP wants to support our local artists as they share their passions with the community. WAP wants to put them “on parade,” if you will, through display at the gallery and online this August and September. Wheaton Arts Parade was founded on the dream of having a parade of the arts that would bring us all together and showcase the wonderful creative diversity that our area has to offer. Although we cannot hold our parade as usual this September, WAP invites you to take a visual parade through this this showcase of local artists.
